Fresno Nature Farm
A 10-acre nonprofit farm in Fresno practicing MOA Natural Farming since 1999
Guided by Nature, Rooted in Health
Without a doubt, good eating habits are essential to maintain good health. If food, however, is not of adequate quality or already contaminated, they won’t help to maintain health and can even be harmful.
Through self-motivated research, Mr. Okada concluded that nature is a living entity and discovered that soil has a very important power within itself to produce food. Therefore, as the human being can thrive only by living in harmony with nature, if our agricultural methods respect soil and enhance its power, our food will always be rich in natural energy that nourishes and supports our health. From these studies, he created the basis of the Natural Farming system, which he describes as follows: “Nature Farming takes advantage of the power of the soil by not introducing impurities such as artificial fertilizers and thereby preserving the purity of the soil. This eliminates obstructions and enables the soil to make the most of its own essential qualities.”
Following this principle, farmers practicing MOA Nature Farming put the health of consumers before all else.
Maintaining the pristine quality of the natural environment, they devote themselves to farming in order to supply us with produce that is appetizing, beautiful, and full of energy.
